My best results with diamond dust has been adding it while the paint is a little wet, if its to wet and thick the dust just sinks in to the paint and is covered in the paint. If the paint is sticky, the dust tends to just sit on top of the paint and keeps its sparkle.

From my limited experiments, I think it is best to use diamond dust of the colour that it is being put on. I had some samples and putting black diamond dust onto a black background, for example, worked best. I haven't taken it any further yet though and will come back to it and some point. I'll see if I can put up a little video later showing the latest test pieces I did. |
