I think as for Dismaland it is not Banksy, the man, only the man, as a lonely seller in a fleamarket , but forcely friends or staff members based I don't know where , who will hold the shop on line. Maybe some are bored too in the real shop -as in all shops -,and are surfing on the internet... Anyway stuffs on Dismaland shop ( web+real ) were not exceptional even if I like tats like that ! It will be the same here ( a common friend told us on IG that it will be ... only merchandise ). And remember, as for Dismaland, the shop had been opened ( lot of bugs ) only after few months or weeks, not at the beginning :-) |

The bookings are now open for september.
There also seems to be a new "Banksy Scenic Suite" added apart from the "Banksy room" and "Presidential suite". Or is this old news?

My brother stayed some time in Jerusalem and I convinced him on the phone to visit the hotel if he is already that close. He wasn't a big Banksy fan before but only thing he told me so far is that he really enjoyed the visit and was very impressed by the whole thing. I can't wait to hear his full report about the visit. Didn't thought he really would go so I didn't told him to organize me some postcards or a shirt... But fuck it, at least one of the family really made it there |

It's been a hot day in Betlehem today. Arrived at the walled off in the afternoon and I am still trying to take it all in.
The bus from Jerusalem stopped about a km from the hotel and it was a stupid idea to walk the last bit in 35C. Saw the peace dove on the way, checked in and checked out all the art on the indoor walls. Even got a chance to see the presidential suite. A quick look through the gallery and the museum and then out to check the art on the outside wall.
Found the old Banksy "Window" and an old Faile a few hundred metres north. Then took a cab to see the Flower Thrower that was too far to walk. Had a falafel by the nativity church and just back in our (not banksy) suite after a beer in the lobby.
Tomorrow is the two tours and then checking in to the Banksy room.
I'll upload some pics when I'm back. I've mostly used my camera without Internet.
Anyone else here? Anyone got any questions?

He thought he would stay 30 minutes in it because it is not that big, but in the end he stayed 1,5h and was very impresed by it. He also said that it was totally safe to be there and motivated me to go there too. He was there at the same time the mohammad ali tower knock out was sprayed and even showed me a pic of it beeing sprayed. He also told me that he wouldn't have visited this side of bethlehem without this hotel and he is glad that he did... seems like banksys strategy works! |

The local busybodies treasure this stuff. and it all kicks off when some local rascal tags one of the *works*. laughable toss.
