Is anybody here could get me an orange tee and postcards ? This is not just an asking, in fact, a person ( a friend ? ) that I did not heard before pmed me and asked me if I wanted something from the WOH ( he was going 2 or 3 weeks ago in Betlehem ) ....
I said yes of course and asked a bit naïve for a print or a little wall ( I called him then : the mysterious donator ;-) ). So, the Mysterious donator told me that this was not free , I can understand it of course, so I asked him postcards or/and a tee from WOH. the problem ( this is really worrying and frustrating ) is that he does not pmed me anymore, and has - I suppose - blocked my messages ( oh you know I have tried to don't harass him ) ...
It's not really fair : this " friend " gave me hope for some little gifts (paid )..
Maybe was it by pure " sadistic " reason coz he never liked me ? ... As a lamb in the silence of a butcher truck ? Clarice do you hear me ? Maybe also I have upsetted him in another social media... I dunno...
I think that it is a bit rude to give hope to fragile persons. My life is short and I am not a business man , nor a rich one... As I read here, some critized people going there only for the print, I understand, this is a bit weird, but : we don't have to be hyppocrites, every traveller or Banksy fan would like a souvenir from their travels, specially this wonderful one ! And even The Walled Of Hotel/Banksy wrote this in the description, on the website shop. Some members even have had te opportunity to go twice maybe 3 and were happy to bring back the print. So, I only ask postcards, not even a tee, and if its not possible, that's alright, That's life.

Will be out there later this week, assuming I dont get a passport sticker with a 6 on it ( the eternal bugbear of the misery tourist). Wil advise on what i can snarf later - may do an auction with the proceeds for some deserving chariry( no retired gentlefolk)

Just wondered if anyone had a idea how much i should look to pay for the Walled Off Box set print? any thoughts would help please? Someone i knew was going to the area and i mentioned the hotel and said if you pick up a box set id be interested, she purchased with intention to sell on , but has offered me firts dibs as i suggested they visit.

Well look on sold prices on ebay.
the most recent ones will be the current "going rate"
but cost, plus something for effort seems reasonable.
if its more than a stay in the hotel, flight and cost, just go yourself and experience it.
Getting out of the west into other areas of the world is a real eye opener.

Camcorders smashed before entry? there was a *no Photo* policy going on during the Balfour setup, but that was on the instruct of the PR team who didn't want anything released until the media were in place. One poor sap with a radio was trying to rein in a coach of day trippers who had just parked up and had little intention of not taking pics. |
