Cheers Never did figure out the issue. I've put it down to being a budget printer rather than a professional one. I just had to work around it, some layers I had to paint the top half first, and then pull the stencils down a little bit to make sure the bottom half then lined up.

I can't imagine the time and patience it took to cut that monster out. You're going to need a seriously flat wall though, to get all the detail to show up like it does on the canvas.

Yeah did take a lot of patience I'm not sure how this will come out on a wall, it's going to be a totally new technique to using my weights on a flat surface. Hopefully it comes out alright though

Whilst your stencil skill is obviously very good, I've no idea why you'd want to do a version of banksy piece over and over again? And I've no idea why people would want to colour match their artwork to wall colour, it's almost as if it means nothing .....

I'm not exactly doing the image over and over again, this is the second version and has been done as I will be painting it as a street mural. I put it on to canvas in case the stencils don't survive the day outdoors.

And the idea behind colour matching with the wall is to give the impression it has been painted straight onto the wall rather than on a canvas.

*Shrugs* you don't need my blessing, i just feel your undoubted skills could be used more 'creatively' but sadly that would probably garner less interest

Have you thought about doing it as a paste up A?

Yeah that could be a good idea Once I have made my first attempt at spraying onto a wall I may well decide that paste ups are the way forward

Here's a mock up of a new idea using my Self Portrait stencil. The bill board advert will be printed out and cut into strips and glued on. The last strip will only be half glued so the bottom curls up as if I am currently pasting it.

Awesome work Aza! The oil painting you used for the mock up maybe fits better for that idea... But as said, it already looks great like it is!

Thanks riq Yeah I agree. The mock up painting has already been used for a buff painting. I also should of painted it a bit further to the right. It's hard to find a painting of the right size that is also a nice painting and frame to begin with. I'm quite happy as a test though

I like it. But I would want a different perspective on the guy (and sign); it looks too two-dimensional... But that is just me...
Carry on...

Yeah I agree, but as it will likely be painted on multiple paintings, it would be hard to make it look right on various backdrops. I tried to get a bit more depth to it by only half gluing the last strip, it works pretty well.

Yeah that would look pretty cool, especially in a plain stainless steel type metal frame so it looked part of the shutter. I keep thinking about doing some oil paintings Bob Ross style so I don't need to wait for things to come up on ebay
